This is the last Will and Testament of me George Palmer of Boston in the county of Lincoln Master Mariner. First I give and bequeath unto Clementina my beloved Wife, the sum of one hundred Pounds to be paid unto her by my Executor hereafter named within one month next after my decease also I give and bequeath unto my said wife, all my Household Goods Furniture Linnen China and Plate (except one silver waiter and a large silver cup which I shall hereinafter bequeath unto my nephew George Palmer) also I give and devise unto Clementina my said wife all that my dwelling house in Boston aforesaid wherein I now dwell and reside with my said Wife being part of a house there which I rebuilt on Premises I purchased of John Waite . To hold the same unto Clementina my said wife for and during the term of her natural Life and from and immediately after her decease I give and devise the same unto my brother Mark Palmer and his Heirs. Also I give and bequeath unto Clementina my said wife the use of the Brewing Vessels and utensils thereto belonging for her wife Also I give unto my said wife one annuity or yearly rent Charge of twenty pounds a year for and during the term of her natural Life and I will and devise that the same shall be paid to her by equal quarterly payments(that is to say ) upon the twenty fifth day of March, the twenty fourth day of June, the twenty ninth day of September and the twenty fifth day of December in every year by even and equal Portions the first payment thereof to begin and be made on the first of the said days of payment which shall next happen after my decease. And I do hereby subject and charge all that my Messuage or tenement with the appurtenances which I rebuilt on part of the said premises purchased of the said John Waite and which was late in the tenure of Mary Garfit and is now untenanted and also all that my Messuage or tenement with the yard and appurtenances in Boston aforesaid near to my said dwelling House and Premises now in the tenure of my said nephew George Palmer to and with the said payment of the said annuity or yearly rent charge Twenty Pounds unto the said Clementina my said wife and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life in manner aforesaid and in case the Said annuity or yearly rent charge or any part thereof shall be behind or unpaid by the space of thirty days next over or after any or either of the said days whenever the same ought to be paid as aforesaid (the same being lawfully demanded). I do hereby empower my said wife and her assigns to enter unto and upon the said Messuages or tenements and Premises or any part thereof and to Distrain for the said Annuity or yearly Rent Charge and all arrears thereof and for the use such Distress and distresses according to the law. Also I give and devise unto my brother William Palmer all my Messuage or tenements with the appurtenances and four Acres and two Roods(more or less) of land in Leak in the county of Lincoln in tenure of John Reeson. Also all those my four acres and two roods (more or less) of land in Wrangle in the said county of Lincoln in the tenure of the said John Reeson and also all that my messuage or tenements and one rood and twenty perches of land ( more or less) in Leak aforesaid in the tenure of Samuel Reeven to hold the same messuages, Lands and Premises unto my said Brother William Palmer and his Heirs for ever . Also I give and devise unto my Brother Hilton Palmer all those my eighteen acres (more or less) of Land in the new enclosed fen belonging to Boston West now in the tenure of Herbert Ingram also all that my orchard upon a piece of ground in Heckington in the said county of Lincoln in tenure of W Gulson and also all those my nine acres (more or less) of land in Heskington aforesaid in the tenure of William Wetheral to hold the same Messuages Lands and Premises unto my said Brother Hilton Palmer and his heirs for ever. Also I give and devise unto my brother Mark Palmer all that my said other part of said dwelling House late in tenure of Garfit also all that my said messuage or tenements in tenure of my said nephew the said George Palmer also all those my twenty four acres and two roods ( moor or less) of land in Wrangle aforesaid in the tenure of John Matson and also all those my twenty three acres and two roods (more or less ) of Land in Benington in the County of Lincoln aforesaid in tenure of John Gaunt to hold the same Messuages Lands and Premises unto my said brother Mark Palmer and his Heirs for ever. Also I give and bequeath unto Thomas, John, Edward, George and Mary Palmer, Children of my brother John Palmer the sum of one hundred pounds a piece to be paid within twelve months next after my decease. Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew George Palmer son of my said brother Mark Palmer the said silver waiter and silver cup . Also all my Ships, Sloops, Vessels, Boats and parts and shares of Ships, Sloops, Vessels, and boats with all their appurtenances and all the rest residue and remainder of my goods, Chattels, Monies , securities for monies, Personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my said brother Mark Palmer whom I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Executor of this my will he paying off my just debts, Legacies and Funeral expenses. Lastly, I do hereby revoke all and every former Will and wills by me at any time heretofore made In witness whereof I the said George Palmer the testator above named have to the first sheet of this my will (the same being wrote on two sheets of paper)sot my hand and to this second and last sheet , my hand and seal the twenty eight day of July in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty four. Just to say thank you for providing a transcript of the will of George Palmer (1785). I believe his tenant at Wrangle, John Matson, was my ancestor, and it is information I would not have otherwise discovered.
