Archibrook Hope married Sara‎(h)‎ Ryle much to his family's disapproval, they were bankers and she was a waitress, hardly an upstanding profession back in the day. In the early 1900's they applied for a homestead in some part of Saskatchewan, Canada ‎(interestingly enough his brother Phillip Palmer Hope had applied for the same homestead and later abondoned it, so we figure Archiebrook took it over)‎. Archibrook and Sara‎(h)‎had 3 children. Cedric Palmer ‎(my grandfather)‎, Norman and Vena. Family rumor has it that Archiebrook came into some money ‎(we do not know if it was a lottery or inheritance)‎ and they moved around Canada quite a bit and at one point ended up in California due to Vena's asthma.
Sara‎(h)‎ and Archibrook divorced at some point in the 1920's. They both died in British Columbia, Canada, in the lower-mainland.
